Temporary Recruitment
Bookings / Planning
Regular contact with supervisors and managers regarding staff performance will assist both parties in deciding the members of the core staff that will be required on a regular basis.
- If Inductions are not required on site, during busy season it is imperative to hold weekly on-site meetings to discuss staffing levels and make sure Proactive Partners are familiar with clients systems, planning and any possible fluctuations in numbers.
- The list of inductees including test pass rates, availability and suitability to be given to Warehouse Managers as well as Administration team, should you decide to use our induction processes
Ad-hoc
Inducting regularly we should maintain a large database of available staff suitable for each department and we will guarantee to get the first five ad-hoc bookings to you within two hours of the call.
Security ID / Uniforms
Regular Staff
- Regular team member will have a full uniform including: Safety Shoes, Yellow Hi Viz Vest
Ad-Hoc Staff
- Ad-Hoc team members will have a part uniform including: Safety Shoes, Yellow Hi-Viz Jacket
Before we even interview a potential temporary we question them on their level of experience, type of work done, current rate of pay, if they are flexible etc. We’re looking for:
- An opportunity to gauge the applicants experience, attitude, goals, motivation, compatibility and interest
Preferably some experience of working within similar environments to the positions we have available
- Attainable references
Once they have been interviewed, before we put them on our available for work list we make sure of the following: -
- Clean and presentable turnout
- They have reasonable numeric and literary skills (confirmed by a basis numeric and literary test
- Good references from reliable sources for information on: -
- Ability
- Conduct
- Timekeeping
- Co-operation
- Attendance
- Trustworthiness
- Honesty
- Copy of relevant certification i.e. FLT Licenses, Basic Food & Hygiene Tests
- Copies of immigration paperwork
- Health Questionnaire completed
Skill Matching
When all relevant information has been collated, we will begin the process of finding the temp work appropriate to their capabilities. Proactive Partners recognises that our success depends on how effectively we meet out clients needs.
The quality of work carried out by our temporary staff on assignment determines your satisfaction with our service therefore we take this procedure very seriously.
Temp to Permanent
All of these services are offered with a minimum 12-week temp to perm option should you require a permanent team. These 12 weeks give you an opportunity to fully appreciate whether or not the potential member of your team will be suitable for you company for a permanent position.
The reason for 12-weeks is again a matter of experience. The first month new employees are finding their feet and are generally on their best behaviour, the second month, they are beginning to make friends and find their feet and the third month you really know what you are getting and can make an informed decision on a permanent employee.
Recruitment Induction Services
Our induction & briefing programmes are unique and offer all parties, Proactive Partners, Temporary staff member and you the client the full opportunity to assess whether they are the right person for your company and that the position and environment suits the temporary worker.
Additionally, some of the poorer excuses e.g. couldn’t find the premises; didn’t like the atmosphere so walked off; unreliability; invoice problems etc are alleviated as these are all dealt with on initial induction which is free of charge and you are not obliged to use anyone who has passed the induction programme.
